Check Engine light stays on whats wrong? I have a new battery, alternator, and belt. I also took it to Auto Zone and they said its probably a gas cap. I'm getting worried please help

1. They should have run your CEL and TOLD YOU what the actual problem was. Not what it "probably" is. Go back, and have them do that. on some cars if the gas cap is not tight or is bad, the light will come on. Not knowing the vehicle make or model all I can say is the battery, alternator and belt have their own trouble light in most cars. It's the one you see that looks like a battery or you have a gauge that says amps. So now you know the Check Engine light hasn't anything to do with the things you replaced. I guess your AutoZone is one of the bad ones. Did they even put a scanner on the car and tell you what code it was. The code doesn't ever say, replace your gas cap or even probably your gascap. Go to another parts store, get the codes read and if they don't give you suggestions, come back here and someone will give you some info.

Amplifier missing a channel? I have a Fosgate P500.2 connected in parallel to 2 12L7's...I finally put the system in and it seems as though one of the channels on the amp is out...can this be? I have checked all connections to the subs, they are all perfect (brand new wire). Step by Step :

Jack up the car and support the frame on jack stands. Use a screwdriver to pry off the stock wheel covers, then use a lug wrench to remove the wheels and tires.

Install the rear lowering kit first. Remove the lowering blocks from the packaging. The blocks fit between the axle and the leaf spring of the Buick, effectively raising the axle two inches closer to the undercarriage of the car.

Locate the U-bolts which secure the axle to the leaf spring, then unbolt them using the socket set. There are two U-bolts on each side of the axle.

Use the jack to raise the rear axle slightly, then insert the lowering block between the axle and the leaf spring. Install the U-bolts over the top of the axle. Repeat the process for the other side of the car.

Install the U-bolt retaining nuts onto the U-bolts and tighten them down with the socket set. Reinstall the wheels and tires, then replace the stock hubcap.

Study the front spindle of the car. With the front wheel removed, you will see the brake drum closest to you. Pull the brake drum off of the brake assembly. There are no tools required for this step.

Disassemble the internal parts of the brake drum using a pair of needle nose pliers. Note the positions of the springs. With the springs removed, pull the drum brake pads off of the drum brake backing plate by unbolting it from the spindle with the socket set.

Identify the spindle in front of you. It is attached by three points to the suspension of the car: the front tie rod, as well as the upper and lower control arm. One nut attaches each of these points.

Unbolt the tie rod from the spindle with the socket set and let the tie rod hang. Place the jack under the lower control arm. Jack up the control arm to slightly compress the spring. Use a wrench to loosen, but do not remove, the nuts that hold the spindle in place. They are at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock as you look directly at the side of the car.

Lift the upper control arm by hand, and the spindle will come free of the control arms. Replace the old spindle with the new lower spindle, then tighten the bolts which secure the spindle in place.

Remove the jack, then reinstall the tie rod. Reassemble the brakes onto the new spindle. Bolt the tire onto the car. The procedure is the same for both the driver's and passenger's sides of the car.

Cleaning and polishing your Vehicle Let me be clear on the distinction between washing and cleaning and polishing the exterior of a vehicle. Washing, the first of the preceding sections, gets rid of the dirt on the surface. Cleaning and polishing goes a little deeper. As a car gets older, especially if it's exposed to the sun and other elements, the top layers of paint or clear coat begin to fade and oxidize, giving the body a hazy or smoky-looking surface. Regular washing and waxing usually retards this process, but an occasional good cleaning and polishing actually removes tiny scratches and dead paint. When you clean and polish a vehicle that's been painted with acrylic lacquer or enamel, you use special products that actually remove a very thin layer of paint.
